summer is our jam! and as our last one with just one little girl, summers tend to be pretty slow and easy. all the moms of the elementary age camp-going, social-butterfly, birthday-party-guests-for-life kids keep telling me it won’t always be this way, but for now, we’re soaking it up. lazy mornings, backyard campfires every night, splash pads on top of splash pads, and movie nights in mom + dad’s popcorn kernel covered bed. you know, the good stuff. i’d had my eyes peeled for weeks for some easy to wear pieces that would keep up with me this summer and this collaboration with pink blush maternity popped up and couldn’t have come at a better time. my style has changed quiet a bit since I was pregnant with zoey and I literally no longer owned a single maternity clothing item when the stick turned pink, so their site loaded with fun pieces was a goldmine.
it’s surprisingly harder than it should be to find cute maternity clothes that still allow you to express your style and personality! there’s only so long you can get away with rubber banding your favorite pants + squeezing into the cute boyfriend tees. somewhere around mid-second trimester, there’s just really nothing like an elastic waist and a side rouche to make you feel like a million bucks. but the open front, flowy pieces that will transition into postpartum with you? they’re the kings. pink blush maternity really does have so many affordable options that don’t sacrifice in style, there’s seriously something for everyone. this navy linen cardigan with it’s sweet coral embroidery isn’t leaving my closet anytime soon except for sunny summer walks or a girls night out. i’m also wearing these white maternity jeans from old navy (praise hands!) + these sandals from bed stu.
guys, this ivory tribal top with embroidered sleeves. i can’t even tell you how many times i’ve worn it. don’t get me wrong, i’m in love with solid + striped basic maternity tees too. but i love having a few pieces like this in my closet for saturday birthday parties and date nights that are so fun to wear and outfit up. i paired it easy here with these jeans from flying monkey, this patricia nash bag, and these red sandals from billabong.
i’m a sucker for a cute maternity dress and this lightweight grey treasure fit the bill just right. so easy to style so many ways and completely wearable non-maternity as well! cute with or without a giant belly is a win-win in my book. an easy low knot in the front changes up the look + adds a cute casual flare. be-tee-dubs, my sunglasses are from brickyard buffalo and my hat is an hm cutie.
thank you again, pink blush maternity for partnering up for these looks!
